Sources report that on September 8 Pakistani forces launched a military operation in the eastern mountains of Noshki and Kharan and west of the Nimargh area. According to independent sources, around 25 locals have been arrested near Noshki. There are also reports of Pakistani army movements in Reko, Dohse and the Khakhoi mountains. A senior Pakistani general toured these areas in a Huey helicopter. Four helicopters are circling above Noshki and the surrounding areas. It is feared that in coming days the Pakistani army might start a full operation in these areas. Date: Sept. 11, 2007
